Our strategic vision

We are Eni’s environmental company. We work according to the principles of the circular economy to give new life to industrial land, water and waste through efficient, sustainable remediation and revaluation projects. We base our work on passion, skills and technological research to regenerate soils, water and recoverable resources. We believe in dialogue and integration with the communities that host us.

We have been committed for over twenty years to remediation as well as the treatment and recovery of water and waste, with environmental services for all the Eni group and for public and private customers, in Italy and abroad. The English word Rewind, next to Eni’s name, was chosen as an acronym of REmediation and Waste INto Development, an effective summary of our company mission. Our experience was consolidated through the environmental recovery of complex and very heterogeneous industrial areas, from Sites of National Priority to service stations. We work to maximise the recovery and reuse of resources, carrying out remediation interventions in the light of the future reuse of the disused areas. In this perspective, we are committed to make large remediated industrial areas available for new productive or redevelopment initiatives for the territory.

The expansion of the scope of our activities over the years has allowed us to extend our integrated offer of services, with the relaunch in 2020 of our development commitment along two growth levers:

• the progressive acquisition of contracts from non captive customers
• building waste treatment plants, preferentially on the company’s remediated areas, to help reduce the national infrastructure gap and therefore recovery and disposal costs.

Through our integrated and circular operative model, we commit to maximise the benefits of recovering and reusing resources while focusing on the protection of the environment and on the needs of the workers and the communities in which we operate, in line with Eni’s strategy for a Just Transition. This approach calls for the concrete application of a systemic and regenerative vision in which production and consumption cycles are wasteless and based on increasing inclusivity and participation of the actors involved along all the supply chain, from institutions and agencies to our partners, suppliers and customers. To be truly equitable, the Just Transition, for us, must preserve and valorise natural resources while recovering waste, making the best use of the levers of technological evolution and economic and social cooperation.

The 2030 United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development identifies the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which represent the common targets of sustainable development, an important reference for the international community. The implementation of the 2030 Agenda requires the involvement of all components of civil society: institutions, universities and research centres, the media and businesses. For this reason, in agreement with Eni, we also promote an integrated and organic vision of all 17 goals and incorporate the related targets into our operating model. Our activities contribute to Eni's sustainable strategy, which aims in the long term at decarbonisation, the advancement of renewables and environmental protection, technological innovation, research and development, digitalisation, the promotion of human rights, the definition and construction of alliances, the sharing of know-how and local development projects.
