Decommissioning sea infrastructures at the Gela site

The redevelopment and regeneration of an industrial area often require the decommissioning of outdated facilities and assets. At the Gela site, this approach was adopted, through the dismantling of the small pier, an activity we carried out on behalf of the Enilive Biorefinery. The operation comprised the remediation of obsolete structures, draining and cleaning of pipes, material recovery and restoring the affected portion of seabed. It was accomplished through accurate planning and the involvement of specialised divers, who ensured operational accuracy and the highest safety standards.
