Our commitment to efficient and circular water management
Water management and treatment are integral parts of our activities at every site where we operate.
We use hydraulic barrier systems and in-plant treatment, as well as techniques designed to remove the source of contamination.
Our in-house expertise and tools for hydrogeological modelling, automation, remotisation and dynamic control of our treatment plants enable us to optimise process efficiency throughout the supply chain, reduce water withdrawals and maximise recovery and reuse.
In 2025, we treated approximately 40 million cubic meters of water. A significant portion of it, 30 million m³, was regenerated and returned to the environment. The remaining 9.9 million m³ was reused for industrial purposes, promoting a more efficient and circular use of the resource.
Across our sites 45 water treatment plants, 1,500 pumping wells, and a network of 5,300 monitoring wells are in operation, allowing us to constantly monitor water quality.
